SYNOPSIS:

The Book of Daniel is a deep look into Daniel, of the Bible. Each verse and each sentence is dissected to unveil great prophecies which are coming to fruition today. It cannot be over-emphasized how relevant this book is to our current generation. 
The book of Daniel covers everything from the sorry state of today's denominations, to corrupt governments who will not be changed before the end of the world as we know it. Many devastating things which will come to pass are clearly defined in this book. However, Daniel doesn't stop here. We, the children of God, are shown the beautiful way of a true Christian's life, as modeled by Daniel himself. We truly are blessed and must give all glory to God for His generous gift of salvation, through His Son, Jesus Christ. 
The Book of Daniel is written from a series of messages by Russell Martin Stendal, while in Colombia, South America. Originally written in Spanish, this book is now available in English. This is a very important book for Christians today.

My thoughts:

Inspired by a series of lectures given in Colombia, The Book Of Daniel is easily understood and provides readers with a fresh outlook on the prophet's teachings. 

Those of you who remember Rescue the Captors will recollect Bush pilot Russell Stendal and his missionary work throughout Colombia. Stendal's messages recorded for a number of radio stations located in what is considered high risk areas of the country provided the material for this latest book for the purpose of spreading the Gospel.

In The Book Of Daniel Stendal shows a thorough understanding of not only God's word but also of more modern interpretations of the original Scrolls. His in depth interpretations of each verse and sentence helps also to compare the present day Church in Colombia and throughout the world to the prophet's own teachings. 

In many aspects Daniel's prophecies are the most significant of all sacred records and the most comprehensive as it gives a historical fulfillment from the beginning of time to the end. There are hundreds of interpretations available to date but Stendal's noteworthy contribution is clear and concise, aimed to reach his brethren with love and care without all the pompous fuss of greedy Mega Churches.

Meet the Author:

Russell is the oldest of Chad andPat’s four children. At the age of four while his family was living in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he prayed and asked God to call his parents to be missionaries. God answered that prayer and within just a few years the whole family was in Colombia as missionaries. He married a lovely Colombian lady named Marina and they have 4 children, Lisa, Alethia, Russell Jr., and Dylan.

When Russell was 27 years old, he was kidnapped by the Marxist guerrillas called the FARC. The story of his kidnapping is told by him in the book he wrote titled Rescue the Captors. His reason for the title is because he realized that his captors were more prisoners than he was. There was a chance he would be released, but most of his kidnappers were young boys who had been taken from their families, given a weapon and taught to kill. They are threatened with death to themselves and/or their families should they try to escape. Not to mention their spiritual captivity.

Russell formed a publishing company called Ransom Press International. He has published about 20 books in English and some 40 Spanish titles. Most of his time recently has been editing the Spanish Bible written by Casiodoro de Reina in 1569.
